Human Rights Management
H-LINE SHIPPING declares that we will carry out human rights management which respects the value and dignity of all interested parties as well as land and sea members based on the management philosophy of respect for people. In order to prevent all human rights violations which may occur indirectly or directly in our management activities, we have established human rights policies across a variety of areas including prohibiting discrimination, prohibiting forced labor, guaranteeing basic labor rights and prohibiting sexual harassment and workplace bullying and are doing our best to implement them.

We respect the human rights of executives and employees.
We check the basic human rights of all executives and employees and actively try to guarantee them. If we confirm that the company committed any impersonal act, we take immediate actions pursuant to company regulations.

We do not discriminate under any circumstances.
We exclude discrimination against the nationality, race, sex, religion, age, etc. of executives and employees and do not employ them under different working conditions regarding hiring, wages, promotion, etc. or take other unfavorable measures without any reasonable reasonos.

We provide wages and fringe benefits timely.
We pay above the minimum wage in a timely manner pursuant to Labor Relations Act and provide a detailed statement thereof. In addition, for extended work and holiday work, we pay allowances required by each law.

We comply with working hours and rest time.
We comply with regulations on working hours, extended/night/holiday work, rest time and day-off and observe relevant regulations pursuant to Labor Relations Act at home and abroad.

We prohibit forced labor.
We do not force executives and employees to work against their will through violence, threat, confinement and other means which unfairly restrict freedom.

We comply with the statutory employment age and prohibit child labor.
We comply with the minimum employment age stipulated by each country and operate the employment process in South Korea to ensure that we do not hire those under the age of 18. We periodically check and manage its relevance.

We operate the grievance process.
We receive the grievance of executives and employees via a channel such as a company bulletin board, a homepage, etc. Once the grievance of executives and employees is received, we handle it appropriately pursuant to company policies, and in order to ensure objectivity, we request an external labor firm to investigate it to guarantee its independence, transparency and fairness,

We comply with laws related to workplace safety and health and apply all kinds of standards related to the prevention of accidents and the provision of the safe working environment.

We guarantee the freedom of association.
We recognize the freedome and right of association and create an environment where employees can communicate smoothly with the company without any fear of threat or revenge from executives and employees. We do not unfairly treat them for reasons including joining a labor union and acting in a labor union.
Human Rights Education
We provide a variety of human rights education for executives and employees to internalize human rights management. We conduct education for improving awareness toward the disabled and preventing sexual harassment in the workplace, and in particular, we frequently provide education for preventing workplace bullying and sexual harassment for those working on the sea because they should stay on board for a long time upon departure, through which we strive to improve common understanding and sensitivity toward human rights among executives and employees. From 2024, we will further expand human rights education by providing it for all employees.
